Today I went in for a much anticipated blood test. I had a feeling the the pregnancy test was going to come back positive but was shocked when it did! The nurse shared that my Beta level was at 80 today and that we were most certainly pregnant! Beta levels monitor the level of human chorionic gonadotropin (better known as hCG) in the blood stream. This number should double every 48-72 hours for the first 11 weeks. My doctor will monitor the increase of this number over the next week to make sure that the numbers increase appropriately. YAY!!!
