To my two beautiful girls,
It is on my heart tonight to write you a letter. Even though I know you won't be able to read or understand these words for some time, I feel it is important for you to know how very much you are loved even before you are born. This morning in church the choir sang a song and in the chorus, they sang "You (God) are the giver of life, more than I need". I smiled thinking of how abundantly blessed we have been to have been trusted with two babies! Your Dad and I love you both so much and we are so excited to get to meet you. We trust that God will continue to keep you safe and guide us on this journey towards parenthood.
I have to admit though that I am nervous about having to share you with the world soon. Right now I have you all to myself. I can feel you tumble in my tummy and you can tell when I am stressed. We have this intimate relationship that I've never had with another person. The world is a scary place. It is one in which you may find yourself questioning your purpose and where you belong. It is full of people that will try to steal your joy and encourage you to make poor choices. Please trust in God during these times that he is the one that will take you through anything in life. He never promised us that life would be easy, but he did promise to be there and stand with us through all times. He has already blessed you both with the other. I pray you will go through life together, stronger because you have the other with you. Before I take this step to "let you go" I am enjoying every minute of becoming your Mom and the few precious moments we still have left, just the three of us. We are all so excited at your arrival! It will be a day that I praise God for giving me the blesings I have prayed so hard for.
“Before I formed you in your mother’s womb,I knew all about you. I chose you. Before you were born I set you apart." -Jeremiah 1:5
