This morning Chris came to the hospital early to drop off some bottles and Abreva for me. We gave the girls their first bottle (rather than continuing the cup feeding).

Chris was in the room when the pediatrician expressed that we may be looking at sending the girls home with Bily lights for the Jaundice.

Chris then left and Aunt Sandi arrived to visit for the first time with the Ross'! Christopher returned awhile later with my Dad and Danielle who had just flown in this morning. It was so wonderful to introduce the girls to them!

Welcome Home Girls!

Everyone left around noon and Chris and I were alone preparing to head home. Alivia's Jaundice level was 14.4 today and Lauren's was 12. We are waiting to make sure this number will go down and as a result we end up bringing home the lighted blankets with instructions to keep the girls on them at all times unless they are eating or being changed. Christopher and I left the hospital around 3:30pm and were greeted by a beautiful summer day outside. We took our time going home and once we arrived it was time to introduce Timber and Sydney (our dogs) to Lauren and Alivia. I went inside first and greeted the dogs and helped them settle down. Then, Chris came in and together we held the car seats up while the dogs sniffed their feet. Slowly, we lowered the car seats and watched carefully as both dogs responded perfectly to the girls. We are finally home! It was not fun being in the hospital because so many people were constantly interrupting, waking us up and disturbing us despite a sign being posted on the door. It is is nice to finally be home and be able to relax in my own bed. I am still feeling sore, but this temporary ache is comepletely worth the benefit of finally having my girls home!
