Happy New Year!

Though I no longer have a ton of time to blog, I feel compelled to sit for a moment and blog on the turning of another page. This morning I welcomed 2012 by being asleep. I am not sad to have missed the traditional ball drop on television and see my sleeping as a way of celebrating how my life has recently changed (again).

Last year, we celebrated with Mom and Danielle and Reid and the Aquino's. I had no idea what the year had in store for us but silently prayed it would be a good one. I had thoughts of what I'd like to have happen and some of those things came to fruition; I got to see the Bahamas with my little family, I graduated from grad school and was able to introduce my girls to many of my family members in Florida. Other things were much bigger surprises; like George! Though I know this past year has been rough on many, for my own purposes, I wouldn't have changed it for anything. It is amazing the blessings in my life and I'd be remiss if I didn't stop to regularly thank God for everything he has provided to me. I have come to a place of "expectedness". I expect that God will do wonderful things in my life and that during those times of trial (because I know they will come again) that he will carry me through them and that I will grow.

Welcome 2012!!!
