Ultrasound #4

This morning Chris and I met Dr. Broth of Maryland Perinatal Associates in Frederick, MD. Our ultrasound showed that both babies are doing very well! Both babies are measuring 8 Weeks and 6 Days as of today, which is exactly on track. Baby A's heartrate was 169 and Baby B's was 167. We got a special treat during this visit as we got to watch as Baby A "danced" for us! At 9 weeks, the baby's have developed muscles and are now able to move! This was even more surreal than watching the heart beat...The baby was moving around and really looked to be dancing :) This morning was very reassuring. It was a pleasure to meet with a dotor who babies mommy's through high risk pregnancies. We will continue to be seen at this practice every 3-4 weeks through delivery. Which, by the way, the doctor anticipates as July 10, 2008, but says that we will more likely deliver between 36 and 38 weeks. We've come to understand that this is pretty typical for multiples.
