Last year at this time, Chris and I were heading home from New Hampshire having successfully surprised my parents with a 40th Wedding anniversary party and 60th birthday party for my Dad.
I really enjoyed my pregnancy and even though I was quite miserable there towards the end, I actually can't wait to do it all over again. (It'll be a task though to convince Chris...) The last 9 weeks have been without doubt the best of my life. It hasn't been without it's own challenges. I remember my first outing to Wal-Mart and trying to figure out how to use the stroller and then attempting to master "shopping" with the monstrosity that is my stroller. I remember the day I was home alone with the girls and Alivia cried continuously from 9am to 230pm. I kept having to remind myself that we asked for these blessings ;)
Though there were days of struggle, there is nothing like now walking into the nursery, peering over the crib rails and seeing a smiling face looking back at you. They are getting so big and I have tried so hard to take them in and remember them exactly as they are right now. I thank God every day for bringing Lauren and Alivia into our lives. We are so happy finally being parents. So even though I want nothing more than to live in this moment of time forever, I know it too will end far too quickly. Please encourage me that I have to work to provide for the girls and that it is one way I am loving them.
