July 25, 2011

I am constantly stunned by how much the girls are talking and the things that they've learned! Yesterday, while changing Lauren, I noticed a red bump on her butt and when I touched it, I asked her if it hurt. She turns around, looks me in the eye and says "Don't touch it mommy! Bump hurts!" Needless to say her cuteness was so overwhelming I was laughing out loud much to Lauren's displeasure.

The girls are speaking in 4 word sentences and are at the point where they initiate conversation, constantly ask questions and are super cute in the responses they are coming up with. This parenting thing is SO much fun at times!

In other news, it has been VERY hot the last week or so with temperatures reaching 105 in some places I've been. The girls has been secluded to the house for most of this time and are starting to get a little "itchy". I believe they are looking forward to the arrival of their little brother as they now are able to point to where he is (My belly), kiss him and tell him they love him. They also know where his room is and are able to identify that some things that go in that room belong to him (ie., not them).

We are excited and preparing for the very real possibility that Danielle may be coming to live with us in the next few weeks. She's been telling us that she's moving in on labor day weekend. We are excited to be able to help Aunt Danielle to move onward and upward in an area I know she's considered home for many years (even though she's not lived there).

Nana's been bugging me so I posted some new pictures on the Photobucket site but it was brought to my attention this morning that not all of the pictures made it into the upload bucket. I will get to this just as soon as I can...just as soon as the basement's finished, and Danielle's room is ready, and I can manage to stay awake past 9pm and...
