Week 6

Today marks 6 weeks along. Here's a few interesting facts you may want to know...

Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Average size today is about .25 inches or about the size of a sweet pea, lentil or single grain of rice. Those little hands and feet- still webbed like paddles- might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as mine!), and blood is starting to circulate. At 6 weeks of pregnancy the heart should now be beating at about 100 to 140 beats per minute and blood will start circulating throughout baby's body.
