This morning I was shocked at how quickly tears sprung to my eyes when going in to get the girls from their room. I simply cannot believe that my sweet girls are already 2! The first year seemed very slow, I'm sure because of the whole "learning curve" with having two babies in the house. But this past year was a blur. I am looking forward to my parents coming in to town this evening and excited at what we will do to celebrate. Tomorrow we have a party planned at the house and are looking forward to spending time with our little precious miracles.
This evening we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse (same as last year) and celebrated with cake and candles at home. The girls really enjoyed blowing out their candles this year and kept wishing each other "Happy Day"! They received so many nice gifts! They got rocking chairs painted with their names, baby doll strollers, dresses, a sand box, swim suits, and stuffed animals that were animated and sang songs from their Grandpa! What a fabulous day!
