A day for changes...

I had the day off today because I have the unfortunate "luck" to have to work tomorrow. I had a doctor's appointment at 11 and since Chris was at work, Danielle was able to accompany me :-) One of the midwives, Susan, met with us and said she was pleased to see that I had not gained any weight in the last month and told me to "keep up whatever it is you're doing". She asked about the girls' weight when they were born and proceeded to tell me that Belly Bean Ross is measuring "ahead of schedule". She tells me that she would not be surprised if he is early and/ or big. Susan scheduled me for an ultrasound at the next appointment to continue to make sure he is (still) head down and to measure his weight. She cautioned that a larger baby may make a VBAC more difficult. I seem to frequently get the impression that this delivery will often feel like an uphill battle against surgery because everyone I meet seems to doubt my body's capability to deliver this baby naturally. :-(

This afternoon was also Phyllis' last day watching the girls (one chapter ends and another begins). The girls gave her a frame with butterflies and their picture.

On Monday, Danielle will take over regularly watching the girls during the week. While I am sad that the girls will miss the companion they wait by the door for in the morning, I am very excited to have someone so close watching them on a regular basis and loving them when I am not around.
