SLEEP!!!

As if living with two 2-year olds wasn't hard enough, we are now living in a world where these 2-year olds don't sleep! For the last couple of weeks, the girls have decided that sleeping in the afternoon is just not cool anymore. They play, strip naked and get into anything and everything they can in a combined effort to avoid giving this very preggo mommy the opportunity to choose between a quick cat nap or getting chores done around the house.

Now, to be completely fair, we are blessed that the girls were sleeping through the night for up to 12-13 hours at a time. They would typically go to bed sometime around 7pm and wake up somewhere around that time in the am. That blessing even seems to be waning. Now, we're lucky if they're sleeping 8 hours and even then, that means a 6am wake up call for Chris and I.

Not quite sure what is happening but very sure it's gotta stop. Chris and I are praying for the child that hits the front page because he's "The first ever child that sleeps through night right from the womb"! I don't have high hopes for this because this little belly bean seems to think it's play time all night long!

I'm sure if I'd have had a better night's sleep last night, I could come up with something witty to finish this entry but

Saw this today and thought of your post:

"Alarms are ringing in the Center of Disease Control and Prevention, the American Psychological Association and the National Sleep Foundation: This is one sleep-deprived nation."
