So we've recently developed an issue with Poop. Three days ago I went upstairs during what was supposed to be nap time to discover that not only were my "angels" not sleeping but that they had stripped down bare, including taking off their diapers, and Lauren had crapped on the floor right in front of the door. I know it was Lauren because my resident tattletale kept saying sweetly "Lauren pooped, Lauren pooped...".
The next day it was the same tale, only this time, Alivia decided to give it a try. Im fairly certain she pooped in her diaper and then took it off to dump it on the floor. Neither time was the poop bad enough to stain the floor or do any permanent damage, but it was terribly annoying, stinky and just downright rude.
It gets worse...Last night, as we were preparing for bed, I walked in to the room and said "How the hell does it still smell like poop in here?" The windows had been open and the fan on for the last couple of days and I didn't see any remnants of poo on the carpet anywhere. Well, Alivia very matter-of-factly walks over to the air vent, takes off the cover, points and says "poop in there".
Even though everything in my body resisted peering into the vent, I knew I had to and discovered exactly what Alivia had described! Both of my sweet blessings from heaven had dropped deuces into the ventilation system of our house! I mean, how exactly am I going to punish this or let them know this is not ok?
Parents, any recommendations? We've been doing the potty training thing since Christmas with no real luck and I'm not exactly sure which way to take this. I know it is something I will laugh about someday, surely as I'm telling the story to my son-in-laws Im sure, but what about now? Any Ideas???
