Halloween 2011

Thankfully we avoided the major snowstorm they were predicting and only accumulated about 2-3" of the white stuff. Just enough for the girls to take notice and love it!

Thankfully too, tonight we were nice and dry for Halloween. The girls took such joy and I such pleasure in getting them dressed and ready to "go get candy" as they put it. They even got to put on make-up for the first time!
Neither were too interested in eating dinner and wanted to get out there right at 6pm as other fellow trick-or-treaters were hitting the streets. I am so proud of my BIG girls...they walked the entire neighborhood with Danielle and I and went to each door! They said "Trick-or-Treat" more often than not, though my shy little Lauren chose to hold her tongue more than her outgoing counterpart.

They enjoyed carrying their own buckets for candy but Mommy brought a grocery bag for them to dump treats into periodically as the girls liked to swing these buckets and drop candy on the ground.

They landed a lot of loot and even delighted in sharing some Swedish Fish when they had returned home!
