Letter to my Son,

It still hasn't really sunk in that your are on your way and will be with us so soon. The words "my son" sound funny on my lips to speak out loud.

When I first thought I might be pregnant, it was because two things were happening...I was throwing up most every day and was going over my allotted points with Weight Watchers because I couldn't stop eating. You certainly let your presence be known right from the start! You weren't a baby that your Dad and I planned for but you are one we dreamed of and feel blessed to be expecting. I know your Dad and I have always wanted to be a parent to a boy and God answered those prayers faithfully!

I have really enjoyed this pregnancy. It has gone very quickly and I know I soon I will be somewhat sad to know it is over and you will be the last baby I feel flutter in my tummy. You have been so active and it has been such a joy to watch my belly jump up and down as you respond to what I eat and drink as well as the environment around me (dogs barking, Daddy talking...). I wish I could bottle moments and hold on to them forever so I don't forget a thing.

Few of us are as excited to meet you as your sisters are. They talk to you, rub my belly, give you kisses and tell you they love you every night before bed. I am excited to watch them become great big sisters and for you to know how much fun they are to love.

It won't be long now before I have to share you with the world, so tonight I pause to really enjoy you and the bond that you and I already share. I pray that God will be with you and I as we prepare for your arrival and that someday, maybe when you have your own children, you will know the sheer love and adoration I have for you now.

I cannot wait to meet you and love you so very much!

Love,
Mom
