The girl's surgery went well. Neither of the girls had any trouble with the anesthesia and charmed all of the nurses who were more than happy to take good care of them. Lauren came through like a champ with tubes in both ears and no problems. Alivia was only able to have one tube placed in her right ear because there was an infection in her left ear and the doctor did not feel able to place it safely. He is recommending that we take her to see a Pediatric Specialist at Johns Hopkins to have them place the tube in the left ear as well as remove her adenoids. Dr. Saylor tells us that he does not remove them in a child this young (he was considering waiting until next summer) but since he feels she should have it done now, he tells us he would feel more comfortable placing her in the hands of a pediatric specialist. He prescribed some drops and a tough antibiotic. We follow-up in two weeks.
We had another interview this afternoon with a daycare provider who probably won't work out because she is just too expensive. We now need to be more thoughtful of our expenses because last night we purchased the following TOYota Sienna!
